Larger than life.  It seems fitting that those are the first words that come to mind when you wander through Jack Spencer’s new quarters.  Not only do those few words attempt to sum up the 8000 sq. ft. of this converted warehouse but they take a decent stab at characterizing the artist himself.  A photographer of rare accomplishment, true, but also a songwriter, a recorded singer who was once signed by CBS Records, a meticulous printer... he even did most of the interior work in this space.  Which includes texturizing two walls, one in his canyon-sized great room and one in his almost-as-big master bedroom.  These double as backdrops for personality shoots.  An expansive kitchen/dining area, guest bedroom, separate rooms for editing and printing....but the big daddy of them all is the studio itself, as you can see in this image.  Light streams into these 2000+ square feet from walls of windows on the west and north sides.  Long, sturdy wooden tables that Jack made himself can be rolled around the cement floor to suit any purpose.  Convenience and utility rule the day in Jack Spencer’s home/work space.  And...you can’t beat the commute....
