Manuel Cuevas was born in Mexico in 1938 and became fascinated with color and cloth at age 7.  Moving to LA in the 50’s, he soon became bored with simple clothing and began to learn what would become the base of his unique craft – embroidery.  Rock stars and movie stars sought him out, including the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Marlon Brando, and Robert Redford, to name just a few.  In 1989, he moved to Nashville to focus on his country music stars, producing wearable art for Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Kenny Chesney, Emmy Lou Harris, and Montgomery Gentry, among many others.  His studio/office still radiates with rich colors, fabrics, and adornments for discerning customers.
