A dreamed-about moment for any budding young singer is to go into “the studio” to record his/her first song, for that first album.  To be directed by a gifted producer and savvy engineer who pull the very best from you, and then to hear it played back….intoxicating.  Even seasoned artists typically revel in these quiet, dedicated times of raw creating.  Their baby is being birthed; their concerts for the next year are being shaped; what they hope is a hit single is being laid down.  This studio hosts some of the area’s major singers.  The day I shot this, Toby Mac and Michael W. Smith were in separate studios working on their next albums.
